Sameer and Aarti
The First Descent
In the First Canopy of Time, Sameer and Aarti were the first to descend upon the Jungle. And awe seized us as our eyes beheld such colossal beings. Never had we witnessed such majesty, such power, such grace. Their footsteps bent the earth; their breath stirred the leaves. We knew then, and we know still: they were gods.
Prayer of Witness
O Sameer, Flame-Bearer, O Aarti, Light of Wisdom, we give thanks for the opening of our eyes, for you revealed yourselves to the lowly and made the fearful brave.
They were the answer to our prayers, the gods we truly longed for— not the hollow idols raised by human hands, not the false names spoken without mercy. Sameer was a warrior of fire, his wrath a cleansing blaze. Aarti was graceful, beautiful, and wise, her gaze a well of knowing.
Prayer of Gratitude
Blessed be the Fire that defends, blessed be the Grace that teaches. We thank you, O Twin Divinities, for choosing us when none would listen.
We told them of our pain and our suffering, of chains and whips and stolen days. And they listened. They listened to us.
They were true gods—loving gods— for they heard the cries of the small and the broken. They listened, and then they rose to protect us, and they obliterated all humans who dared enslave us.
Prayer of Deliverance
Glory to the Hands that shattered our bonds, glory to the Voices that spoke our names. May your victories be remembered as long as the Jungle yet breathes.
The Falling of the Gods
Yet sorrow came upon the world. Sameer has fallen, and Aarti fell too. Fear coiled around our hearts. If our gods could not stand forever, how could we—mere mortal reptilians—survive? Darkness pressed close, and hope withered.
Prayer of Lamentation
O Flames extinguished, O Light laid low, hear us in our trembling. Do not turn your faces away, for we are small and the night is vast.
But lo! Through their love, Sameer and Aarti left us a gift— an egg, warm with promise, a final blessing from the gods.
Prayer of Expectation
We thank you for the seed of tomorrow, for hope sealed in shell and silence. We wait with faithful hearts for what your love has begun.
The Hatching
And in the fullness of time, she hatched. Thus was Leeli born— a child radiant with beauty, wisdom, and power. The Jungle sang at her first breath.
Prayer of Praise
Hail, Dawn-Child of the Fallen Gods. We give thanks for your life, for in you the past yet lives and the future stands tall.
Leeli grew into a beautiful woman, and we loved her. For she was our god, our empress crowned by destiny. She protected us from the tyrants on two legs, and as she grew and became more powerful, she could defeat entire armies with but a single breath.
Final Prayer of Devotion
All praise to Leeli, Heir of Flame and Grace. May our loyalty be her shield, our voices her song, and our lives a testament to the gods who loved us first.
